Half of his fucking leg was offside.

i recall NOLAN having a goal disallowed because his huge nose was offside at their place.

Funny how Jose berates the refs yet 95% of the time decisions go their way.

If he was a foot offside it would take one look to confirm that not dozens.
He was level so ONSIDE

Having studied it dozens of times I think Zabaleta was about a foot offside. Anderson definately wasn't
Maybe VAR would have disallowed it, maybe not. A very close call indeed
Had it been Man Utd's goal at OT it would have been allowed you could put your house on it
The 'goal' that they kept calling 'goal of the season' scored by Man Utd was actually about a yard or so offside but it was a good goal, & it was scored by Man Utd so it counted. None of the plaudits complained that it was offside
I believe that is the point of this thread?
Things might just slowly be changing in our favour
Picking fault with our goals only masks the fact that we outplayed, outfought & outfought them, though they would never admit to that!

The point of the thread was not whether or not our first goal was offside or not, more that in year gone by it would have been disallowed.

The thing to bear in mind is that when Mourinho talks about the game he wants our first goal to be offside, our second shear luck out of the blue, a penalty for a WHU legitimate tackle, a foul on Rashford prior to our third goal and outrageous bad luck for Lukaku hitting the woodwork. And all of that is to defend his job which totally ignores the fact that we were clearly the better team.

But of that lot, the only one applicable is the first one - since if offside had indeed have been given then none of the other incidents would have ever occurred as they did. We might have got five, Manu might have got a 2-2 draw. Everything changes at that one point in time.

"I watched the Rashford incident several times last night and he didn't even complain. Good goal.

I noticed that, too. Rashford would of gone garrity if he'd actually been fouled.

quite possibly...its academic really, the fact is he virtually assaulted our player and scored a goal.that should never have been allowed given that play should have been stopped for the foul. Yet the media said naff all and concentrated on the goal. Arsewombles

Motd commentator Jonathan Pearce was a good pal of Bobby Moore when the club did Bob no favours when in retirement which was wrong. I still think he holds a grudge against us hence him keeping on about that deflected goal and even other aspect of the match which went against Manure.

last one that went our way that i can remember was Zamora's goal up at Blackburn that hit Tevez on the line.

maybe Reid's goal v Millwall when someone clattered their keeper??
